The New Jersey Titans have hired Blake Kessel, former NY Islanders draft pick and USHL Defensemen of the Year, as Assistant Girl's Director and 19U / 16U Tier 1 head coach for the 2022-23 season.

The former UNH star will also assist with the daily operations of the girl’s program. “I am really excited to join the Titans organization, stated Kessel.  Hockey has been a huge part of my life and I hope to help these young women chase their dreams and advance their careers to the highest level possible.”

Kessel has spent most of the past six years coaching women’s hockey in Canada and the US, with his last stop at PDS as a defensive coach for the boys program.

“Blake is a great addition to our staff as his knowledge and experience coaching in girls hockey is immense”, commented NJ Titans President/Director of Players George Haviland. “He is not only an X’s and O’s guy but his ability to create a successful environment with his teams is infectious”.
