The New Jersey Titans Hockey Program is pleased to announce expansion plans with the addition of three new hockey academy teams: boys’ U16 and U18 levels and girls’ U19.

The launch of the new Academy program will begin in the fall of 2021-2022 season. Each Academy team will play a schedule that will include games at the top showcases in North America as well as league play.

George Haviland, the Titans’ Director of Players, spoke about the new Academy teams and what it means for the organization and players:

"In today's society virtual school is the new norm.  What we have created here at the New Jersey Titans Academy is a school model that combines a focus on academics and hockey. Our facility is second to none with everything a student athlete needs to succeed is offered at the Titans Campus. It features an on-site education building complete with a full-time academic coordinator, on-site dining hall, player lounges, private locker rooms, team video rooms, 20,000 square foot sports performance lab with recovery rooms, physical therapist, chiropractor, massage therapist, brain training and more all in the self-contained Middletown Sports Complex – something you only will find at an NHL or Olympic training facility. Our players are set up to focus and achieve their goals, and we provide a facility and program where they can achieve them in a can’t fail environment.”

The Titans Academy program offers boarding and day school opportunities. For those who would like to board, the Academy has a unique lodging program were athletes gain valuable life experiences while living there. Players stay at the organization’s bed-and-breakfast hotels located on the beach in Ocean Grove, NJ, which is conveniently located 20 miles from the Campus. The full-service bed and breakfast hotels come with a chef, maintenance, and security on premise. Transportation is provided to and from the Complex.

Day School provides athletes the best of both worlds. They receive the same exact academic and hockey opportunities that the boarders receive but live in the confines of their own home. Lunch meal programs are available.

“The path for the U16, U18 and U19 athletes at the Titans Academy will be integrated into our overall Titans eco system. Through that eco system it will play an integral role in a player’s development on and off the ice as they move up the ladder of development through the New Jersey Titans program” said Haviland.

“The Titans Academy players practice twice a day, and they receive sports assessments throughout the season with a plan developed for them individually. The sole purpose of the Titans is to prepare players to succeed on their life journey while helping them choose and achieve their college dreams” concluded Haviland.
