The New Jersey Titans are pleased to announce the Girls’ Players of the Week for Week Ending November 22. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Tier 2 19U - McKaeyla Field – First Star
McKaeyla puts in 100% at practice and games.  She continues to improve week to week in both individual skill and Hockey IQ.  In Sunday’s game, McKaeyla earned her first point with an assist on a goal against the IronBound Elite 17U helping the team to secure a 2-0 win over their opponent.

Tier 2 19U – Teagan Brush – Second Star
Teagan continues to create great defensive plays to provide turnovers for the team.  She reads the play well and when she is given a window, has the ability to skate the puck up the ice and make shots on goal.  She had an assist in this weekend’s game against IronBound Elite 17U.  She is a positive influence on the bench and committed to making herself and her teammates better.

Tier 2 16U - Sierra Celiberti – First Star
Sierra recorded three points (2 goals and 1 assist) in Saturday’s 13 – 0 win over the Union Thunder. On Sunday, Sierra recorded the team’s lone goal. She used her speed to create a lot of offensive opportunities throughout the entire weekend and had great games defensively.

Tier 2 16U – Franchesca Timmes – Second Star
Fran scored her first goal of the season and had an assist in Saturday’s game. Fran is always willing to play any position that we need her at. She always works hard and is a positive presence on the team.

Tier 1 14U - Julia Marano – First Star
Julia had a great game this weekend vs. the Ironbound Elite 14U Blue. With only three blueliners on the bench, she had a lot of extra shifts and gave it her all for each one. She had some good gaps which allowed her to poke check the other team and cause a lot of turnovers, especially as they were entering the Titans zone. In the defensive zone, she was very disciplined and aggressive which helped gain control of the puck. In the offensive zone, she was reading the play well and was able to hold the blue line and stop the Ironbound from breaking out of the zone. Overall, she had a very smart and aggressive game this weekend!

Tier 1 14U – Lily LaTour – Second Star
Lily picked up a point this weekend with an assist in the Saturday game vs. Ironbound Elite 14U Blue.  She has a great work ethic. Combined with her intelligence and hockey sense she quietly leads by example. Couple her stellar play with the fact that she’s transitioning positions, without complaint and she is one of the team’s key players.  This past week she was hard on the puck, won battles, played smart in all three zones. As well she applied her knowledge of coach’s systems to her play- which is a great team attribute.
