Titans 15U Pure alum Daniyal Dzhaniyev selected in 2020 USHL Draft

Phase II of the 2020 United States Hockey League (USHL) draft was held yesterday and Titans 15U Pure alum Daniyal Dzhaniyev was selected.

Dzhaniyev was taken in the third round (46th overall) by the Madison Capitals. The Brooklyn, NY native played on the Titans 15U Pure team during the 2017-18 season where he had 61 points (29 goals and 32 assists) in 36 games. He had 41 points (17 goals and 24 assists) in 27 Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) games, and he had 20 points (12 goals and 8 assists) in nine North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) games.

During that season Dzhaniyev, 17, received numerous records and awards between the AYHL and NAPHL including: AYHL 15U Most Assists (24); AYHL 15U Most Points (41); NAPHL 15U Most Goals (12) and NAPHL 15U First All-Star Team.

After his 15U Pure season, Dzhaniyev has being playing on the United States National Training Development Program’s (USNTDP) U17 and U18 teams. He has an NCAAA Division I commitment to Penn State University.

USHL member clubs were able to select any player born between the years 2000 and 2004 until each team had 45 players on their roster.
