Titans’ Girls 14UAAA wins back-to-back MAWHA Championship

The New Jersey Titans’ Girls 14U AAA team defeated the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 4 – 2 earlier today to win their second straight MAWHA championship. Jocelyn Acosta scored a natural hat trick.

The Titans got on the board first when Abigail Tattersall lit the lamp with an assist from Charlie Rauch. They doubled their lead with an even strength goal when Acosta scored her first goal with an assist from Abby Hehl. Acosta then scored a shorthanded goal early in the second with an assist from Ani Kozak to make it 3 – 0.

After the Jr. Flyers scored to make it 3 – 1, Rauch set up Acosta for her third goal to give the Titans a 4 – 1 lead. The Jr. Flyers closed out the scoring late in the third.

Noemi Sofia Martinez winning goalie for Titans with 25 saves.

The Titans defeated the New Jersey Colonials 5 – 1 on Saturday to advance to today’s championship game.
